RESIDENT OF CITY PASSES AWAY TODAY

Short Illness Is Fatal To William E. Neal.

William E. Neal, 76, a life-long resident of Bloomington, died at 10:45 this morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Christie Abel in Indianapolis, where he went Sunday for a visit.

Word was received in Bloomington early this morning by Marshall Neal, 408 east 16th street, with whom the elder Mr. Neal had been making his home, that his father was critically ill. With his two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Wilbur and Miss Fonetta Neal, Mr. Neal left immediately for Indianapolis, but his father died shortly before his arrival.

Mr. Neal left by motor Sunday morning for Indianapolis, apparently in good health, and his illness and death come as a surprise to the Bloomington relatives.

Besides Marshall Neal and Mrs. Abel, Mr. Neal leaves another son, Howard Neal of Indianapolis, and a number of grandchildren.

The body will be brought to Bloomington this afternoon, and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
