"FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JAMES MONROE YOUNG ARE HELD MONDAY
Funeral services were held Monday at 3:30 for James Monroe Young, 40, who passed away at his home south of Pauls Valley, Saturday. Mr. Young had been in ill health for the past year. He had been a resident of Garvin county all of his life.
Rev. Preston Cotham, pastor, conducted the services in the Church of Christ. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Yeary & Vaughn Funeral home of Elmore City.
Survivors are his wife Mrs. Mamie Young and four children, James Young, Raymond Young, Carl Young and Juanita Young, all of the home address. Other survivors are his mother, Mrs. Jim Young, and two brothers, Charlie Young, CA, Claude Young, Pauls Valley route 4, and four sisters, Miss Sallie Horner, Wynnewood, Mrs. Claud Malone, Colo, Mrs. Mark Golden, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Mittie Elmore, Stratford."
