Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Bertha Jones Locke, 68, resident of the Shores section, will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Shores Church of Christ, with the burial in the Shores Cemetery. Mrs. Locke died at one o'clock on Wednesday morning, April 4, 1962 at Giles County Hospital after a brief illness.
Born July 9, 1893, in Giles County, she was the daughter of the late Steven Jones and Mrs. Hester Jones. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Locke is survived by her husband, Sam Locke; five daughters, Mrs. Grady Glover, Mrs. Bob Johnson, Mrs. Grove Banner, and Mrs. Hugh Cates, all of Giles County, and Mrs. Fount Webb, Lewisburg; one son, George Locke, Giles County; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Cullman Jones, Giles County; one sister, Mrs. Spencer Phillips, and one half-sister, Mrs. Virgie Rosson, both of Giles County. Bennett-May and Company in charge of arrangements.
