Bissett, 86, of 76 West Hampshire Street, Piedmont, who died Monday night in Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, was celebrated this morning in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport. The Rev. George J. Pugh, assistant pastor, was celebrant of the Mass. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Active pallbearers were Paul Laffey, John R. Bissett, Patrick J. Healy, Woodrow Wilson, Thomas Niland and Michael Laffey. Honorary pallbearers were William T. Davis, Joseph L. Mansfield, P. A. Laughlin, Bryan Healy and James Laffey. Born in Piedmont, Mr. Bissett was a son of the late James and Bridget (Mannion) Bissett. He was employed as a foreman by the Davis Coal and Coke Company, Thomas, until his retirement, when he returned to Piedmont. He had been a patient in the hospital since September 21st. Mr. Bissett was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, and the Holy Name Society of the parish. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ora Bissett; two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Stalnaker of Parsons, and Miss Gladys Bissett at home; three sons, Councilman James L. Bissett, Piedmont; Joseph Bissett, Bridgeport, Ohio, and Francis Bissett, Akron, Ohio. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. John E. Healy, Piedmont; two brothers, Ligouri Bissett and DeSales Bissett, both of Piedmont, and four grandchildren."
