Elizabeth married Henry Schafer in Huron Co, Michigan. They were funny, hard-working, good-natured farmers in the small town of Pigeon, Michigan, up in the “thumb” in Huron County. Elizabeth and Henry had two daughters, Mrs. Nelda (“Nellie”) Romprey and Mrs. Beatrice (“Bea”) Rathbun, who were both warm-hearted and kind, and totally hilarious.
