Salvatore S. Fortuna
Salvatore S. "Sal" Fortuna of Venice died Saturday, June 18, 2005. He was 84.
He was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Middletown, Conn., and moved to the area in 1965 from Agawam, Mass. He was a retired restaurant owner.
He served in the U.S. Army infantry in World War II and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dorothy; a daughter, Cheryle Worthen of Port Charlotte; two sisters, Rosemary Galary of west Springfield, Mass., and Delores of Middletown; four brothers, Joseph and James, both of Middletown, William of Palm Beach, Fla., and Richard of West Springfield; and two grandchildren.
Services: Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22, at Ewing Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m.. A family service will be at 6 p.m. A mass will be held Thursday, June 23, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes. Burial will be in Venice Memorial Gardens.
