William Henry Boster, Sr., 76, Topeka, died Mon., March 7, 2011, at Manor Care. He was born April 18, 1934, at Fredonia, the son of Chloe E. (Berger) and Henry Edgar Boster. Sr.

He worked in the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. Plant and was a member of United Rubber Workers' Local 307.

Bill was married to Pearl Jane Cobb on Sept. 2, 1955, at Perry. She preceded him in death on July 4, 2007.

Surviving are a daughter: Karen Sue Frost of Topeka; 2 sons: William Henry Boster, Jr. and Karl Eugene Boster both of Topeka; 2 sisters: Pauline Brown of Fredonia and Mary Alice Cooper of Missouri; 2 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Fri., March 11, 2011, at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, Topeka. Bill will lie in state after 3:00 PM, Thurs., at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
