Irene W. Christiansen passed away on March 8, 2011. She resided at 864 East Southlake Drive (4915 South) in Murray, Utah at the time of her death.

She was born March 3, 1921 in Ogden, Utah to Hans and Nanna Marie Christiansen. Irene worked as a financial counselor for Primary Children's Hospital. She was a very social person and welcoming to everyone she met. She was very independent and hard working. She loved golf, reading, classical music, and especially loved watching the Utah Jazz games.

Irene is survived by many nieces and nephews - Doris Lang, North Ogden, Utah; Terry Christiansen, Camarillo, California; Cindy Gerow, Goshen, Utah; Frank Christiansen, Copperton, Utah; Mark Christiansen, Blanding, Utah; Irene "Teena" Taylor, Taylorsville, Utah; David Christiansen, Salt Lake City, Utah; Lee Christiansen, Camarillo, California; and Jay Christiansen, Camarillo, California; thirty-one great- nieces and nephews; and several great-great- nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and four brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, and Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment: Ogden City Cemetery.
