"Kenneth Hillyer, retired Williamsport businessman - WILLIAMSPORT - Retired Williamsport businessman Kenneth A. Hillyer, 79, of 543 Ind. 28E., died at 6: 15 p.m. Sunday in Community Hospital. He had been in ill health one year. A native of Rainsville, he lived his life in Warren County and was married here in 1944 to Alice Eyestone, who survives.

Mr. Hillyer was secretary and treasurer of Warren County Federal Savings and Loan from 1947 until 1970. He was still on the board of directors of that association. Until 1970, Mr. Hillyer owned and operated the Held Abstract Co. and for 25 years had operated a bulk oil and gasoline plant in Williamsport. He was a member of F&AM Lodge 38 and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, and was past president of Williamsport Lions Club. For the last 20 years, he was a board member of Community Hospital.

Surviving with the widow are a son, Wayne Hillyer of Williamsport; and a daughter, Mrs. Leroy (Rosemary) Thomas of Ft. Pierce, Fla." - Journal and Courier, Lafayette, Indiana, Monday, February 18, 1980, Page 4 (Obituary provided by David Hillyer)
