NEW ALBANY Mrs. William J. Schmidt, 87, formerly of Providence Retirement Home, died Wednesday at the home of a daughter. She was the former Ella Bezy. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Alice Bosco; a son, James W. Schmidt of Warsaw; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation at Kraft Funeral Home will be after 10 a.m. Friday.
