Lois Marie Downey, 81, of Atwater died Monday in Merced.
Mrs. Downey was a native of Oklahoma. She lived in Merced County 68 years. She worked in food service at Atwater High School; she was an assistant manager. She belonged to the Fruitland Women's Club and the Atwater Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by her children,; brothers, Ray Duggins of Imperial, Junior Duggins of Huntington Beach, Gene Duggins of Washington and Joel Duggins of Fontana; sister,Kathleenof Oildale; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at1 p.m. today at Winton District Cemetery, Winton. Wilson Family Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
