Funeral services for Tom Bridges, who died July 28 at Collins Memorial Hospital,were held July 30 from Williams Funeral Home with Dr. Leonard E. Deaver officiating.
Burial was in Indiana Chapel Cemetery.
Martin Thomas, son of William and Elizabeth Hall Bridges, was born Aug. 22, 1875 near Attica, where he spent his life farming. On Aug. 5, 1900 he was united in marriage to Allie Flanagan, who died Feb. 3, 1931, on Nov. 2, 1935 he was married to Mrs. Stella Tucker, who died June 23, 1971. He was a 50 year member of the United Methodist church. His parents, two sisters and three brothers also preceded him in death.
Surviving are his son Arthur of Knoxville, two grandsons, five great-grandchildren,two great-great-grandchildren and stepson, Floyd J Tucker of Des Moines,stepdaughter, Mrs. J.H. Lyle of San Diego, CA. and one sister, Mrs. Sabra Sharon of Knoxville.
