John was a manager of 7-Eleven Store No. 10 in Bellmead Texas and had been with The Southland Corporation for 32 years.
He married his childhood sweetheart Eloise Wood on December 24, 1941. He served in the Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Eloise and two daughters Deborah Conrad of Lacy Lakeview and Jan Tickle of Bellmead. A brother Billy Tickle of Killeen Texas.
