Martha W. Bacon,79,widow of H.B. Bacon, died Sunday after a long illness.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. C.E. Ammons, Screven, Mrs. F.A. Wallace, Albany; three sons, Leroy C. Bacon, Toledo, Ohio, Earnest and Foster Bacon, Glennville, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Glennville First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Raymond G. Johnson and the Rev. George W. Fields. Burial was in the City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dan Cowart, B.D. Dubberly, Culver Brown, J.N. Wall, Hugh Strickland, Dewey Strickland. The Women's Missionary Society served as honorary pallbearers.
