She was born on March 2, 1856 in Seaverton, the daughter of Robert and Candace Kingsbury Seaver.

She married Lorenzo Holmes of Stockholm Center on 3/9/1881.

They made their home in Gouverneur where he was employed for 26 years. They then moved to Winthrop and settled in the H. Kelsey home.

Surviving was her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Iva Watson of Danbury, NY; a son Oscar of Winthrop; three sisters, Mrs. Maria Munson, Mrs. Alma Gaddis of New York and Mrs. Emily Newton of Parishville.
