Thomas died at Riddle Memorial Hospital at age 18 after being struck by a hit and run driver. He lived in Aston, Delaware, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Sun Valley High School and attended St. Timothy's Lutheran Church of Aston. He was survived by his parents, Maurice Shane Kelsall and Dorothy Ayers, a step-father, three siblings, a grandfather named W. Stanton Worrall and a grandmother named Elizabeth Shane, both of Media PA.
