Wade Avary Bevans was born January 14, 1908 to John and Ruby Foster Bevans at Stevenson, Washington. He grew up in the Stevenson area on the Columbia River.

He was married to Marcella Marsh September 23, 1949 at Spokane, Washington.

Wade was a heavy machinery operator through many of his working years. He worked on the construction of the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River in Washington. In 1945 he began working with the Washington State Highway Department and continued until his retirement in 1971.

He passed away suddenly at home on Sunday evening although he had been in poor health for a couple of years.

He is survivied by his wife, Marcella; a son, Wade II; 3 daughters, Thelma Bevans of Seattle, Washington, Barbara, Mrs. Steven Hill of Hillsboro, Oregon, and Wadeen Schrader of Chugiak, Alaska; 5 grandchildren, Wade III and Angie of Packwood, Washington, Beth Campbell of Hillsboro, Oregon, Victor Van DeBogart of Anchorage, Alaksa, and Sean Nickerson of Seattle, Washington; 5 brothers, Walter Bevans of Stevenson, Washington, Glen Bevans of Portland, Oregon, Kelley Moore of Stevenson, Washington, Sam of Sandy, Oregon, and Leo of Stevenson, Washington; 5 sisters, Mrs. Mary Tritto of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Iola Albert of Orting, Washington, Mrs. Ruby Bye of Brush Prairie, Washington, Mrs. Ruth Jory of Vancouver, Washington, and Mrs. Louise Hyduke of Puyallup, Washington; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Burial will be in the Packwood Cemetery, Packwood, Washington.
