Funeral Services Held For Mrs.Florence Rutland

Mrs. Florence Rutland, wife of W.P. Rutland of
the Topeka community, died Friday morning in
a McComb hospital following an illness of
about two weeks.
Mrs. Rutland was sixty-two years of age.
She was the daughter of the late L.B.
Pevey, member of a family widely known in
this section.
Mrs. Rutland was Baptist and a member of
the Topeka Baptist church.
She leaves her husband, W.P. Rutland of
Topeka;five sons, three daughters, twenty
grandchildren,one great-grandchild, three
half-brothers and five half-sisters and
other relatives.
Her sons are Walter Rutland, Jesse Rutland,
Claude Rutland and Shelvie Rutland, all of
Jayess and Maxie Rutland of Monticello.
Daughters are Mrs. E.H. Bardwell, McComb;
Mrs. W.S, Boyd, Fayetteville, N.C. and Mrs.
Willard Neu of Stockbridge, Mich. Half-
brothers are Marshall Pevey, Canton; Pink
Pevey of Prentiss and L.B. Pevey of Meadville
and half-sisters are Mrs. Zollie Renfroe,
New Orleans,La., Mrs. Gertrude Newsome,
Purvis; Mrs. Homer Murray and Mrs. James
Leonard, Meadville and Maggie Facundas of
Monroe,La.
Funeral services were held at New Hope
Baptist church Sunday morning with pastor,
the Rev. M.C. Nelson officiating and burial
in New Hope cemetery. Sympathy is extended
to the bereaved loved ones.
