Escanaba - Marian A. Mulvaney, 90, of 1511 16th Ave. S., Escanaba, passed away Friday evening, March 11, 2011, at St. Francis Hospital with her loving family at her side.

She was born on Jan. 15, 1921, in Escanaba and was the daughter of William and Freida (Logan) Mulvaney. Marian attended school in Escanaba and was a member of the graduating Class of 1939. Following her graduation from high school, Marian moved to Lansing, Mich., and began her life-long career with Fisher Body and remained employed there until her retirement.

Marian enjoyed her retirement in the Lansing area and in 1996 she decided to return to her hometown of Escanaba. After moving back to Escanaba, Marian enjoyed reconnecting with many of her high school classmates and friends. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church.

Marian is survived by: niece, Betsy Miller of Escanaba; nephews, Tim (Debbie) Mulvaney of Escanaba, Terry (Stephanie) Mulvaney of Mattawan, Mich.; great-nieces and nephews, Kevin (Ann) Wendt and their children Ryan and Paige Marian, Lisa (Gary) Laitinen, Julie Miller and son Andrew, Mike and Nichole Krueger and their children Jenna, Austin, Maddox, and Gabriel, Molly Mulvaney and son Zachary, Alex Logan Mulvaney, Arin, Ian, and Jacob Mulvaney; sister-in-law, Jane Mulvaney of Escanaba.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, William, on Oct. 26, 2010; sister, Margery Miller, on May 15, 1980; nephew, Robert Miller, on Jan. 14, 1998; and life-long companion Freddie B. Sutberry on Feb. 27, 1994.

A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at the Anderson Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services celebrating the life of Marian A. Mulvaney will follow at 4:30 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church with Rev. Eric Heskin and Tim Mulvaney LLM officiating.

A luncheon will be served in the Bethany Lutheran Fellowship Hall at the conclusion of the funeral service. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy and online condolences in Marian's honor may be directed to the family at www.andersonfuneralhomes.net.
