Florence - Mr. William Cherry Potts, 82, of 2109 Converse Drive, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1995, at his home.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cain Funeral Home. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill.

Born in Lancaster, Mr. Potts was self-employed as a carpenter and painter. He was a member and former Stuard of St. John's United Methodist Church in Fort Mill.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude Threatt Potts; three daughters, Lucy P. Fugate and Cherry Ford, both of Florence, and Ann Todd of Easley; his son, Robert Potts of Hartsville; his sister, Rosa Osborne of Fort Mill; two brothers, Barnett Potts of Rock Hill and Richard Potts of Brandon, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Cain Funeral Home.
