Mrs. J. B. Monroe
Mrs. J. B. Monroe of Clinton, mother of Mrs. Edward Gardner, 120 Cherry street of this city, passed away yesterday afternoon at her home in Clinton, after several months illness. On the thirty first of last November Mrs. Monroe was taken sick and up to the time of her death, yesterday she been a patient sufferer. A number weeks ago Mrs. Monroe was in this city, where she spent two weeks at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gardner. Her condition becoming worse necesatated her removal to her home in Clinton. Besides her husband she is survived by four children, A. E. Monroe, Mary Monroe of Clinton, Mrs. Will Westby of the town of Porter. Nine grandchildren also survive her.
Funeral services will be conducted from the late home Wednesday, afternoon at two-thirty o'clock. The Rev. Griggs of a Clinton church will officiate.
