Presque Isle – September 28, 1947 – Herbert Moran, 78, died unexpectedly at his home, 258 State Street, today. He was born in Presque Isle, the son of John and Mary Pryor Moran. He was a lifelong resident of Presque Isle.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Katherine Finnemore Moran; two sons, Vernon and Lloyd; a daughter, Mrs. Lois Watt; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Marie Brown; two stepsons, Amos and Byron Churchill; and a brother, Allan Moran, all of Presque Isle.
Friends may call at the Graves Funeral Home Monday afternoon from 2 until 9 o'clock. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the Graves funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Herman A. Grant officiating. Interment will be in Johnson cemetery. (Bangor Daily News)
