William Taylor

One of the saddest events that has ever occurred in Chesterton is the death of Wm. Taylor, Jr. He died, after a brief illness, on Tuesday morning. Mr. Taylor was one of our best citizens and his loss will be deeply felt by the community. He was a cherished man, idolized and devoted husband, and a beloved brother. While the grief of the young widow appeals to all hearts, yet not less touching is the sorrow of his aged parents so soon again called upon to mourn the loss of a loved one.

In Memoriam.
"Death loves a shining mark." It pains us to chronicle the sudden "falling asleep" of William Taylor, Jr., at Chesterton, on Tuesday morning the 13th. He was one of the firm of Taylor & Brothers, and this is the second time within a few weeks that death has entered there. The deceased was only 32 years of age, and was one of our most upright, energetic, business men. He was of a genial disposition, and made many friends. Chesterton mourns to-day with the sorrow-stricken widow, and her fatherless children, as also with the two remaining brothers, the aged parents and only sister. His acquaintance was extensive. His funeral was largely attended. We would earnestly commend the relatives and friends to the care of that Divine Being who continually watches over us, and who does not willingly afflict.
