SAN BENITO, TX--Albert Driy, 65, of Holland and San Benito, Texas, died Thursday Oct 1 at his home in San Benito.
He was born in Holland, the son of Harold and Bertha Driy, and graduated from Holland High School. He married Mae Vugteveen in 1941 . During World War II, he served with the U.S. Air Force.
He had worked for Continental Motors in Muskegon for 37 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Bethel Reformed Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mae; three sons, James Allen Driy of Houston, Texas, Tommy Lee Driy of Holland and Louis Jon Driy of Zeeland; two daughters, Mrs. Nathan (Marcia) Callicoat of Houston, TX and Mrs. Edwin (Louise) Proctor of Dundee; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Driy of Allegan and Robert Driy of Holland; three sisters, Mrs. William (Dorothy)VanDyke of Grandville, Mrs. Dennis (Ruth) Ende of Holland and Mrs. John (Irene) Kvorka of Holland; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday at Dykstra Downtown Chapel, 29 E. Ninth St., with the Rev. Alan Hofland officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 pm Sunday at the Dykstra Downtown Chapel.

Dear grandfather of Ryan, Timothy, Rebekah, James, Joel, Rosemary, Brandi and Christopher. Beloved brother of Dorothy Vandyke, Ruth Ende, Earl Driy, Irene Kvorka and Robert Driy. Services and burial will be in Michigan. Dykstra Funeral Home, Holland, Michigan is in charge of arrangements.
