Juanita June Fawcett Emerick, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, at her home. She was under the care of Idaho Home Health & Hospice.

She was born June 13, 1931, in Basalt, Idaho, to Henry Earnest Fawcett and Arvilla Dye Fawcett. She grew up in the area and attended schools in Firth, Basalt and Idaho Falls.

On June 22, 1947, she married Harold Lewis Emerick in Idaho Falls. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where they raised their five children. He preceded her in death Nov. 7, 1992. She was a mother and homemaker and also worked as a nursing home aide and as a cook at the airport.

Juanita was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Survivors are her children, Jackie Lanee Rockseth of Issaquah, Wash., Dory Ann (Randy) Shipley of Idaho Falls, Ronald Kay (Daniella) Emerick of Idaho Falls and Brenda Jean (Brad) Landes of Idaho Falls; brother, Cecil Fawcett of Blackfoot, Idaho; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Cindy Louise Emerick; granddaughter, Christy; and a sister, Dorothy Fawcett.
