Ronald Schneider- Ronald "Ron" C. Schneider, 60, of LaPorte, passed away unexpectedly April 20, 2001, at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Cheyenne, Wyo. Ron was born May 29, 1940 in West Point, Neb. Where he lived until 1944 when he moved with his parents to Colorado. He graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1958 and joined the U.S. Air Force. He served as a crew chief for the 49th TFW at Lachland Air Force Base and served 30 months in Spangdahlem, Germany and 10 months in Libya. He then worked for Untied Airlines in San Francisco as a mechanic for seven years. Mr. Schneider retired from Poudre School District, where he worked 14 years, in November 1998. He loved fishing and playing pool. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his significant other, Deanna Wolfe of LaPorte: one daughter, Deena McBain of Chicago; his mother, Veronica Schneider of La Porte; one brother, Stanley Schneider, and wife and nephew, Dale all of Windsor: and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Cremation was performed at Wiedershpahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne. A celebration of his life will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2001. The family requests no flowers, but donations may be sent in care of Deanna Wolfe, P.O. Box 37, La Porte, CO 80535.
