Cecil R. Ambrose, well know in church, civic, fraternal and political circles in Morgan County, died Saturday morning March 12,1988, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital.
Born in Berkeley Springs, August 29, 1900, he was one of thirteen children born to Joseph J. and Mary Elizabeth Byrd Ambrose.

He is survived by his wife the former Lola Waugh, Berkeley Springs, three daughters; Mrs. Mildred Caruso, Upper Marlboro, Md.; Mrs. Catherine Bowers, Hagerstown, Md.; and Mrs. Marjorie Ours, Berkeley Springs. One son, Bernard of Berkeley Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Place of Myersville, Md. and Mrs. Evelyn McBee, Martinsburg.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 15 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Albert Clipp at Francis Asbury Methodist Church, with interment at Greenway Cemetery with Masonic gravside services.
