Mabel Rakowsky, 96, went to celebrate Christmas with Jesus on Dec. 23, 2008. She was born in Duluth, MN on March 4, 1912. Mabel and her husband Bill lived in Duluth until 1965 when they moved to San Jacinto, CA. After Bill passed away in 1975 she moved to Hemet, CA and stayed on and became an Avon lady until she was 87 years old. She then moved to Mesa, AZ. She was a wonderful grand lady who was admired and loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her son Jack and his wife Shirley; brother John Hanson Jr. (Vera); 3 grandchildren, Jeff (Theresa) Kim (Mike) and Kurt; 4 great grandsons, Jeremiah (Melody) Jason (Sariah) Joseph and Christopher; and 6 great great grandchildren, Kaylee, Brian, Jacob, Allyssah, Joshua and Jadelynn. Visitation will be at Meldrum Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday Dec. 29, 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ. Funeral services will be held at Meldrum Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30.
