Mr. Allen "Jack" Foster Ashby, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 1:58 P.M., Monday, November 16, 2009 at University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born November 27, 1933 in Dawson Springs, KY to the late William Iley and Esther Lee Todd Ashby.
Mr. Ashby was retired from KU after 47 years where he worked as a right of way agent.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Barnwell of Madisonville; two daughters, Polly (Steve) Eakins of Madisonville and Patti Ashby of Brentwood, TN; one son, Kenneth (Deborah) Ashby of Madisonville; two sisters, Doris Boyce and Joyce Allen both of Nashville, TN and six grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Kline officiating. Burial will follow in Nebo Cemetery in Nebo, KY.
Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the West Kentucky Veterans Center. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
