William Ralph Allison, 98, widower of Addie Lou Stephens Allison, died Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Regional Hospice Home.

A native of White County, GA, son of the late Gus B. Allison, Sr. and Cordelia West Allison, he was a retired employee of M. Lowenstein Corporation, served on the Board of Directors of the M. Lowenstein Corporation Credit Union, a member of Wellford Baptist Church, and a former member of Lyman First Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Shelba and James Geddis of Lyman; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Rita Allison of Lyman; a brother, Gus B. Allison, Jr. of Greenville; two grandchildren, Katina Degler and Rhonda Wood; and four great-grandchildren, Allison Wood, Nichols Degler, Jacob Degler, and Wren Degler.

Mr. Allison was predeceased by two brothers, Emory Allison and Horace Allison; and three sisters, Blanche Jones, Elaine Fawbush, and Eunice Johnson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Wellford Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. James Daves. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Marty Allison, Gary Sayre, Bruce Johnson, Patrick Burnette, Carey Johnson, Jack Davis, and Bill Hamby.
