Hollis Wayne Watson 71 of Springdale died March 14, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born November 30, 1939 at Barnes, Arkansas to John and Marie Gregory Watson. He was a retired machine operator for Elkhart Products. He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing also fishing and gardening.
He was preceded in death by son, Terry Wayne Watson,daughter, Debbie Sue Hagar and grandson, Tyler Wayne Hagar.
He is survived by his wife Mary O'Daniel Watson of the home, one son, Paul Watson and wife Carol of Springdale, step-son Michael Whinnery and wife Rhonda of Hindsville, step-daughter, Carol Williamson of Fayetteville, two brothers, Harold Watson of Miami, OK and Jesse Watson of Claremore, OK, sister, Johnnie Marie Purser of Rogers and the mother of his children, Fern Robbins. Five grandchildren, Ashley Sizemore, Berlyn Watson, Mary Sells and husband Jesse, Mika Whinnery and Mason Whinnery. Three great grandchildren, Jamison Sells, Jessica Sells and Jude Sells.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Rev. Lorne Scoggins officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are: Herb Baker, Randy Evans, Troy Brandenburg, Jesus Sallisar, Rodney Garrett and T.J. Barnett. Honorary pallbearers are: Mason Whinnery, Chad Eskew and Tim Barnett.
