Mrs. Helga Nelson, 76, of Kelliher died at the Bemidji Hospital last Tuesday, where she had been a patient for about a week following a heart attack.

Born in Sweden April 4, 1889, Mrs. Nelson came to America at an early age and located near Billings, Mont. She was married to Sam P. Nelson in Montana in February of 1919. After their marriage they lived in the Bronx, N.Y., moving to the Saum area in 1933, and Mr.s Nelson moved into Kelliher in 1964.

A Book entitled "Heart Reflections" by Helga Nelson has recently been published of her poems and writings which she had composed over the years.

Surviving are a brother, Gust Bergstrom of Rochert, Minn., four nieces in Sweden, six nephews and a niece in America.

Funeral services were held at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Kelliher Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Max Cheney officiated and burial will be in the Tolgen cemetery at Saum under the direction of the Kolden-Snustad Funeral Home.

1940 Census: Sven Nelson (52) and Helga Nelson (51) were living in Battle, Beltrami, Minnesota.
