MUNCIE--Margaret Ann Hoover, 94, passed away Wednesday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Margaret was born in Muncie on Nov. 12, 1913, the daughter of Joseph H. and Lillian (Eads) Ball. She graduated from Cowan High School in 1932 and attended Indiana Business College.
Mrs. Hoover was employed with Ball Brothers for 15 years. She and her husband also owned and operated Hoover Insurance Agency until her retirement in 1987.
Margaret was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, a charter member of The Business and Professional Women, Amvets Post #12, Workers for the Blind, and a volunteer at Ball Memorial Hospital since 1965.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Ball, Portland, Oregon; a cousin, Dr. Phil Ball, Muncie; a niece, Phyllis Thompson (husband-Darrell), Ft. Wayne; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L. Wayne Hoover; four brothers; and two sisters.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Parson Mortuary with the Reverend Karen Powell officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be directed to Delaware County Workers for the Blind, Box 1205, Muncie, IN 47308.
