PERRY - Raymond R. Ragland, 73, of Perry, passed away at 6:29 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at Audrain Medical Center in Mexico.
Memorial graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Lick Creek Cemetery with Joe Williams officiating.
No visitation is planned.
Memorial services were entrusted to Bienhoff Funeral Home in Perry.
Mr. Ragland was born Dec. 22, 1931, in Ralls County to Thomas Jefferson and Margaret Elnora Eddleman Ragland.
He was married to Connie Griffith on Jan. 18, 1952, in Hannibal. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Carey Ragland of Arvada, Colo., and Craig Ragland of Des Peres; two daughters, Linda Young and Kris Yancey, both of Perry; a niece, Janet Berry, who Connie and Raymond helped raise; one brother, Clay Ragland of Perry; eight grandchildren, Jody Young and Emily Yancey, both of Perry, Melissa DiDonato, Cindy Ragland, Stephanie Ragland, Rachel Ragland and Sierra Ragland, all of Colorado, and Justin Ragland of Des Peres; and four great-grandchildren, all of Colorado.
Mr. Ragland was a lifetime area resident and a member of the Monroe City Christian Church. He owned and operated the Standard Oil Service Station in Perry for 25 years. He was a former member of the Perry Lions Club and loved the stock car races.
Memorial contributions may be made to Perry Christian Academy.
