BILOXI --- Elvin C. Cannette, 67, of Biloxi, died Sunday, October 15, 2000, in Gulfport.
Mr. Cannette was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was retired from the Biloxi V.A.M.C. after thirty-four years as a surgical technician. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi and the B.P.O.E. No. 606 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lucy Cannette.
Survivors include his wife, Pola Middleton Cannette of Biloxi; a son, Paul Cannette of Biloxi; a sister, Marie Rhinehart of Biloxi; five brothers, Julius Cannette, Andy Cannette, George Cannette, Lee Cannette, and Michael Cannette, all of Biloxi; and a granddaughter, Sydney Cannette of Biloxi.
The visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. with the Rosary service at 7 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi where friends may call from 9:15 until service time.
