THE WORK OF DEATH.
MISS MARY J. BRADFORD.
Died yesterday afternoon at the Church and Infirmary in Baltimore, Miss Mary J. Bradford, formerly of this city. She was a direct descendent of Bishop Bradford of England and a cousin of Gov. Bradford. Her father was Wm. Bradford, of Harford county. She was born and spent her girlhood in this city, was a member of All Saints' church and connected with its Sunday school. For many years she had been partially an invalid, but at the same time an earnest worker. She was appointed to the managemet of the Church Home and Infirmary in 1874, where she ruled with a firm and kind hand, and during her management the institution has received many gifts as a tribute to her beautiful character. She had raised nearly $3,000 to endow the Whittingham memorial cot. She always remembered her old friends here and never lost her interest in the affairs of All Saints' church, being frequently in communication with the Sunday school. Miss Bradford was acknowledged as a woman of superior ability and with her death a good woman has gone to rest.
