"That at the time of entering the service claimed for, her said husband was 19 years of age, five feet 9 inches in height, with blue eyes, dark hair, fair complexion, by occupation a farmer, and that he was born at County of Iredell, State of North Carolina. That after leaving the service he resided at Franklin, N.C. 27 years, and moved to Tennessee, Knox County and lived there 13 years, and at Scarboro Tenn to Date. That she was married to him on the 20 day of February 1860 at Franklin N.C. by J. Ammons, a minister of Gospel under the name of Mary V. Peak .. "
