Selon "Pat" Bartz, 56, of Route 1, Oakfield, died this morning, Jan. 7, 1983, at his home due to an apparent heart attack.
He was born Feb. 1, 1926, in the Town of Lynn, Clark County, a son of the late Carl and Amelia Hoffman Bartz. He married Ruth Wiese of Oakfield on June 5, 1948, at Oakfield.
The couple resided in the Oakfield area, where Mr. Bartz was employed by Mammoth Springs Canning Co. and Friday Corp. He served in World War II. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church at Oakfield.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Nancy) Bartell of Colgate; a granddaughter; two brothers, Art and Rheinhold both of Downers Grove, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs Gertrude Pungercar of Sheboygan and Mrs. Edith Fester of Las Vegas, Nev.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Oakfield. Pastor Robert Bitters will officiate, and burial will be in Avoca Cemetery, Oakfield.
Friends of Mr. Bartz may call from 4 to 9 pm. Sunday at Kohls Funeral Home, Oakfield, and at the church from noon Monday until the time of services.
