Eva Cornelia Marvin Pierce was the daughter of Charles Elwell and Cornelia "Cora" Sarah (Moody) Marvin. She was the 3rd wife of Walter Marcus Pierce. They were married in 1928 He was the 17th Governor of Oregon - 1923-1927. She was Oregon's 1st state librarian - 1905-1929.
