Yesterday afternoon, [December 11, 1918] after several days intense suffering, Noah D. Sweeney, son of William Sweeney, died at his home in Sweeneyville of pneumonia.
Mr. Sweeney was 24 years old and was a hard working young man and his untimely death has removed a good man from this locality.
He married Miss Sallie Sanders and to this union 2 children were born. They with his parents and wife mourn his death.
The funeral will be held at Salem Baptist Church, of which he was a member, this afternoon and the burial will take place in the Salem Church Cemetery. The sympathy of the community is extended the bereaved in their great loss.
