Charlie Pike, a retired farmer of Pike Road, Campbellsville, son of the late George L. Pike and Mary Eliza Caffee Pike, was born in Taylor County Sept. 22, 1917. He died at 8:36 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 30, 1986, at the Taylor County Hospital in Campbellsville. He was 68.
He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Leona Kilby May 19, 1945. To this union three sons were born: Robert Thomas Pike, who died in infancy, Paul Pike and George L. Pike, both of Campbellsville.
Besides his wife and sons, he is survived by three granddaughters and two grandsons: Patricia Pike, Catherine Pike, Karen Pike, Allen Pike, and Kevin Pike, all of Campbellsville; one sister, Ellen Fisher, Campbellsville; one half-brother, Edward Pike, Campbellsville; several other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Officiating were the Rev. Phillip Ronk and the Rev. James K. Fox. Furial was in the Cox Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Arthur Antle, Earl Barnett, Roy Wingler, Elton Morrison, Ralph Moss, Harlen Williams, J.D. Meadows, Dennis Corbin, Frank Arnett, David Bright, Clarence Colvin.
