The mail from you somehow got deleted. I was answering it and it was messed up. Don't know if it was sent or not so I may be repeating myself. Yes, I knew Virginia. She was a dear friend. She did alterations for me, we worked closely together in volunteer work at St. Paul Apartments. We shopped together for bingo prizes. Last Friday we worked together making punch and serving it at the administrator's retirement party. I thought the serving line would never end. I was told 200 or more attended. We were worn out. I saw Virginia Sunday and she looked great. Talked with her twice on phone Sunday night and when someone came to my apartment Monday morning and told me Virginia died, well, it was a shock to say the least. Everyone here has been upset. Virginia was planning a going away party for Saturday, tomorrow, for Teddy McLean, who is returning to Idaho. But now we will be having a memorial celebration for Virginia combined with a farewell for Teddy. As it has been said time and time again, we never know about tomorrow. I wish you and Philip a happy tomorrow. I know the heartache you are going through and pray for God to give you the strength you need to see you through. He has always seen me through. There were times I wondered, but looking back I can see that I was never alone.

Thank you for your letter. Certainly, you may share anything I said about Virginia with anyone. I thought so very much of her. Once she gave me several tickets to the ice show at the Coliseum. I think her son got them for her. She was very devoted to her family. I have to rush to go pick up Ruby and Grace from school. Just me - Dell.

Bob, I felt that you would like to know how your Aunt Virginia spent her last few hours.
Also, do you remember Phillip's relative, Shirley Smith who lived in Palmetto, Florida?
I received a message from her mother yesterday that she had passed away on August 15th.
She really loved genealogy and wanted to help any family that she could and especially in her own family. She will be truly missed by her family and especially me.
