Deborah had moved to the Braddyville, IA area when she was in 5th grade.

Deborah attended South Page Schools, and graduated in 1970 from South Page High School, where she was a cheerleader and homecoming attendant her senior year.

Deborah married Kenneth 'Skip' K Adams on 4 Sep 1970 at College Springs.

Deborah was employed at the Citizen State Bank.

Deborah died in a car accident, where her car was hit and thrown into a ditch. Her husband Skip was following her and his truck was also hit by the same vehicle. Skip walked about an eighth of a mile to the home of Harold Martin to call for help. College Springs rescue took the two men from the other car and Clarinda Rescue took the body of Deborah to Clarinda.

Skip was taken to the hospital by his father and released.
