McConkey, Wallce E. - October 1, 1968, 340 Warren Creek Road, Arcata, California.

Husband of Annis McConkey, Father of Suzan Flemming**, Step-father of Linda McCall of Eureka, and Reggie Mccall of Arcata, and grandfather to Bobbi Flemming. Son of Eli McConkey, of Astoria, Oregon. Brother of Kathleen Fudge and Virginia Hendrickson both of Astoria. He is also survived by several neices and nephews. A veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving in World War II, a native of Astoria, age 43. Services will be held in the Chapel of the Redwoods, Tuesday, October 15 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Walter T. Omon officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Chet Warlick, Charles Thomas, Steve Breshears, Jim Seckman, Joe Costa, Clarence Will, Stanford Lowry, Dave Heldt and Dave Isaac. Active pallbearers will be Jim Cyphers, Tom Stafford, Ralph Hulsinger, Bill Buell, Bob Switzer, and Vaughn Littlefield. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery.
