They had a "Passage Contract" with the Covenanter Church of Page Co., Iowa that was set up by their Uncle Samuel M. PINKERTON (My Gr-Grandfather) for a 2 year labor pay-off for the passage charges.
After their 2 year contract they all moved to Santa Paula, Ventura Co., Calif. to another Uncle John,2 PINKERTON and also where her brother Willie John PINKERTON, bought a large ranch, and the two sisters Elizabeth & Anna cooked & cleaned on their brothers ranch.
Later in 1916, Elizabeth,4 PINKERTON, age 45yrs married the 69 year old Thomas JONES, he died in 1921, age 73yrs. At age 54yrs she married 2nd on 7th Jan 1925, to the 61 year old "Widower" Jusge Malvern DIMMICK.
