George graduated from Crozier Technical High School and attended Southern Methodist University. He had basic flight training at Goodfellow Field, San Angelo, Texas, in 1942. He was stationed in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was killed when his plane crashed near Jersey, Georgia. He was 22.
