RANSON, W.Va. Calvin Eugene Geisbert Sr., 80, of Ranson, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at his home.

Born May 7, 1927, in Urbana, Md., he was the son of the late Allen Geisbert and Lena Lenhart Geisbert.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Alma B. Geisbert.

He was a retired lineman with PEPCO.

He was veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Washington Grove (Md.) Methodist Church.

He is survived by four daughters, Linda Geisbert at home, Donna Fiscus of Winslow, Ind., and Darlene Williamson and Loretta Geisbert, both of Ranson, W.Va.; two sons, Calvin E. Geisbert Jr. and Timothy W. Geisbert, both of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; five sisters; two brothers; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas L. Arnold; two sisters; and four brothers.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Eackles-Spencer and Norton Funeral Home in Harpers Ferry. The Rev. Melissa C. Rudolph will officiate. Burial will be in Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, W.Va.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
