"Tionesta, March 14 - William A Connelly, who was a Commissioner of Forest County during the years 1894-1895 and 96, died Sunday morning at a hospital in Buffalo, NY, where he had gone for treatment of a stomach trouble. He was a son of Findlay Connelly, an early settler at the headquarters of Dawson Run in Harmony township, but the subject of this sketch spent the greater part of his life on his farm on Church Hill in Hickory township. For the past few years he has made his home with his sons, Wales, Thomas and James Connelly at Ludlow, Warren County. Besides his aged wife, he is survived by a fourth son, Moss Connelly of Warren, two daughters and several brothers and sisters. The burial took place in the East Hickory Cemetery on Tuesday about noon. He was aged about 72 years."
