Charles E. Niccum, 44, of 1207 Parkway Court died at 6:05 p.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been a patient for one day. He had been in failing health two months.
Born in West Point, he had resided in Lafayette most of his life. He marriage in 1950 was to Joan Sanders, who survives.
Mr. Niccum was a sheet metal worker and had been employed for various contractors in the area for the past 19 years.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge 347 and Sheetmetal Workers Union Local 80.
Surviving with the wife are a son, Ronald E. of Lafayette; five brothers, Clifford l. Earl E. and Harold W., all of Lafayette, and Ernest M. and Kennekth J, both of Fort Meyers,FL, and four sisters; Mrs. Charles J. (Helen) Felix of Buck Creek, Mrs. Grover (Margaret) Mooers, and Mrs. Herschel (Kathryn) Jameson, both of Lafayette and Mrs. David (Betty) Whitteberry of Geneva.
