James Luo Fryman (1990-2011)
James was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 29, 1990 to two loving parents. He was the beloved son of Bruce Leon Fryman and Li Hua Luo Fryman. He grew up with one younger sister, Crystal Jinjin Fryman, but had extended family who loved him equally as much including his half-brother Marshall, his grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. He considered Rancho Palos Verdes, California his home for the last 6 years and graduated Palos Verdes Peninsula High School in 2008. He was in his junior year at University of Indianapolis, majoring in Business, and was an honor roll student on scholarship. James was bright, friendly, and didn't have a single mean bone in his body. His friends will miss him dearly for his funny jokes, "foxy" smile and unparalleled loyalty. Youthful days were spent at the park, playing m.m.o.r.p.g.'s and various other video games, watching anime, reading manga, attending graphic novel conventions and club meetings, playing cards, and outsmarting his sister at chess. James also enjoyed talking to his good friends (especially Ian, Jon, Ben and John H.), learning from The Food Network and listening to Louis Armstrong CDs. James loved sushi, especially at Sammy Li's restaurant where he found delicious food and people who would always take care of him. James loved to laugh and to pass on kindness in the world. James never understood human evils and was not capable of harming a soul. In the brief 20 years he was with us, James taught patience and kindness to all he knew. We considered him an angel just borrowed from God to teach us how to be better people. He passed away peacefully on March 14, 2011 and will be missed dearly. Services will be held at First Christian Church on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. The address is 2930 El Dorado St., Torrance, CA 90503, (303) 328-2820.
